Mark Daniels is a true plein-air painter. Working out of doors on location, Mark has
developed his approach and style of painting by studying his motifs first hand. Painting freely and rapidly allows Mark to express his feelings while simultaneously capturing the subtle changes
and nuances of light in its natural setting.
The magic of impressionism lies in its power to suggest through selection of color
and form, aspects of vision which we experience more intensely in paintings than we do when we look directly at nature. Mark travels extensively throughout the West interpreting a broad variety of
subjects.
While particularly fascinated with the beautiful Sonoran Desert of Arizona he is
equally at home painting the canyons of the Colorado Plateau, the majestic Rocky Mountains or the coastline of Central California. |
