As a plein air oil painter, Savannah uses the skills gained from
classical studies, drawing classes, and three years spent studying and
painting in Europe. Savannah spent ten years of living and painting in
Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, and now resides in Prescott Arizona.
She continues to paint contemporary representational oils in the
tradition of the great American West. Savannah captures the drama of
light in Southwest sunsets, storm clouds, intense sunshine and
brilliant snow. She also paints rocky mesas, canyons, mountains,
deserts, and adobe.
American Artist magazine introduced Savannah to its readers in
September 1989. Since then the work has been featured in numerous other
top publications and has become part of many corporate collections.
Solo exhibitions have included the Seattle Frye Museum and the Bardean
Galley in Albuquerque.
